About Us
Sensei Michael Lushington
Michael Lushington began martial arts training in 1980. For the last 30 years he
has been training exclusively in Shorin Ryu karate. Sensei Lushington has been a
teacher and instructor in Shorin Ryu for over 22 years and has dedicated himself to
bringing Shorin Ryu karate training to the Castro Valley area.
In addition to Karate practice, Michael Lushington teaches acting and theatrical
performance to elementary, middle school, high school and college students
throughout the bay area and has been a Certified Professional Project Manager
and Consultant working in the Bay Area for the last 20 years. He has received an
MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College and has been teaching and coaching for
over 30 years.
