Sensei Michael Lushington
Michael Lushington began martial arts training in 1980. For the last 25 years he has been training exclusively in Shorin Ryu karate. Sensei Lushington has been a teacher and instructor in Shorin Ryu for over 18 years and has dedicated himself to bringing Shorin Ryu karate training to the Castro Valley area.
In addition to Karate practice, Michael Lushington teaches acting and theatrical performance to elementary and middle school students and is a working partner in Virtual Consulting, a successful computer consulting firm with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Canada and Dublin, Ireland. He has received an MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College and has been teaching and coaching for over 25 years.
